Miss Sweetie was found, as a stray, on the streets of Vienna, Virginia in August of 2007. She was rescued by a very kind lady named Mary who took her home and tried, unsuccesfully, to find Miss Sweetie's owners. Miss Sweetie stayed at her foster mom and dad's home through the beginning of September 2007 when she came to our shelter. Her foster dad was having surgery and the couple could no longer keep her. Miss Sweetie is a fabulous dog that deserves a wonderful forever home. Her foster mom reports that she is housetrained, loves squeaky and stuffed toys, rides well in the car, and loves to play with other dogs. One of Miss Sweetie's favorite play dates was to visit a Dobie named Kapono who became her "boyfriend." Make sure to click on the two videos to the left of this write up to see Miss Sweetie playing with her pal Kapono. Miss Sweetie is extremely well behaved in the household, is not destructive, loves to sit on the couch with her human and especially loves to watch t.v. Her foster mom reports that she is especially fascinated by episodes of The Dog Whisperer! Miss Sweetie is a wonderful ambassador for her breed and proof that pit's can make great pets. She has been exposed to children, adults and seniors, and likes all kind of people. Please consider adopting Miss Sweetie if you are looking for a new companion. If you would like to meet her, please call the FOHA adoption line at 703-385-0224.
